Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Biddeford Intermediate School will continue to implement PBIS. This is a school-wide commitment to teaching students appropriate behaviors, acknowledging them when they get it correct and supporting them when they do not.  An important aspect of PBIS is the understanding that appropriate behaviors and social competence are skills that require direct teaching to students just as we teach reading and math.  PBIS is a system of supports that focus on being proactive about behavior rather than reactive.   

The goal of Biddeford Intermediate School is to structure our environment to be:   Safe, Responsible and Respectful.
