Walk-in COVID Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, June 19th from 9-11am at YMCA of Southern Maine in Biddeford. Open to anyone over the age of 12 years old. FREE!
The hot, humid air within our buildings continues to be stifling despite our attempts to cool them down by opening windows and utilizing fans. Therefore, we will dismiss early today (Tuesday, June 8th) for all grades and there will be no afternoon Pre-K. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:00 am and the middle and high schools at 12:00 pm.
We are attempting to cool the schools this evening as some classrooms were approaching 90+ degrees this afternoon. We will have school in the morning; however, we will make the FINAL CALL BY 9 AM if we need to dismiss early due to the continued high temps expected tomorrow. Please send your child(ren) to school with extra water, sunscreen, and appropriately dressed. As always, parents have the final decision whether to keep their child(ren) at home.
Due to Biddeford School Budget Election on Tuesday, June 8th in BHS Tiger Gym, all COVID Vaccine SECOND DOSES will now occur on Wednesday, June 9th. An email with full details on time and location has been sent directly to parents who opted to have their child receive the first dose at the recent BHS clinic. If your child missed the original clinic, you may schedule an appointment or attend a walk-in at various other clinics in our area through MaineHealth Clinics, Northern Light Health Clinics, CVS, Walgreens, and other locations.
MaineHealth will provide COVID vaccine clinics for our students 16+ (and 12+ if approved) on May 18 & 19 from 10-6pm at BHS Tiger Gym. If you are interested in having your child vaccinated, please review and sign-up by May 14th according to this letter: https://bit.ly/3xYEEYZ
