Mamma Mia!, based on the iconic hits of ABBA, tells the heartwarming and hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful Greek island, the story unfolds as a bride-to-be invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding, hoping to uncover the identity of her father. This enchanting tale of love, laughter, and friendship is propelled by ABBA’s timeless songs, making for an unforgettable experience.

“The students in the BHS drama production have really stepped up to bring a colorful, energetic, and professional take on this musical theatre classic,” said Ellie Joseph, BHS Drama Club Director. “Assistant Choreographer Micayla Budd (BHS ‘25) and Assistant Director Elwood Gray (OOB ‘25) have brought warmth, light and creativity to the production while leading their peers! I am endlessly amazed by the hard work and dedication these students bring to their craft, to say I am proud would be an understatement. This has truly been a collaborative process with all hands on deck, we are ecstatic to share this heart-warming yet hilarious story with our community.”

Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, with a book by Catherine Johnson and music and lyrics by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson, Mamma Mia! has captivated audiences worldwide since its premiere in 1999.
