Our Mission

The Biddeford Public School Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to manage and distribute funds raised to enrich the educational experience for the students of Biddeford. Through partnerships with the community and district, the Foundation will provide resources outside the normal school budget to augment teaching, encourage academic excellence, and maximize opportunities for students K-12.


Priority Giving Areas

The Board of Directors has approved three priority areas for giving in 2019.

  • Marching Band 
    • For the last decade, Biddeford has not had a Marching Band which is a loss to our Arts Program.  We are pleased to support the administration and parent volunteers as they plan fundraising opportunities to support this valuable extracurricular activity.
  • Backpack Program
    • When a child is hungry, they are not able to focus on learning. This program is currently serving over 200 kids at both John F. Kennedy Kindergarten Center and Biddeford Primary School.  Each Friday they are given a bag of food to bring home for the weekend. Our goal is to expand this program to all our schools district-wide.
  • Teacher Mini-Grants
    • The Foundation will continue to support teacher mini-grants which allows educators to think outside the box for innovative learning opportunities that would otherwise not be covered in the normal school budget.

The following potential fundraisers will support the above priority areas in 2019.  As we are in the planning phase, please check back often to learn about new events and opportunities.

  • Commemorative Marching Band Pillows – $50 each
    • These commemorative pillows are made from the old uniforms thanks to our parent volunteer (and Marching Band alum) Jessica Johnson.  We only have 20 available so order yours today. All funds raised will benefit the marching band.
  • 4th Annual Pillars of Pride Dinner and Silent Auction 
    • Recipients for this year’s event are currently being contacted and a date finalized.
  • MOOLAH for MARCHing Band Indoor Carnival
    • To be held in March at Jimmy the Greeks in Old Orchard Beach.  We plan to host a family event during the day with all the games followed by an adult-only event in the evening.
  • Spaghetti Dinner featuring The Alumni Band
    • To be held in April.  We plan to transform the Tiger Gym into an Italian Restaurant and The Alumni Band will play music during the event.
  • POPS Concert

  • Christmas Tree Raffle
